With its wealth of mountain peaks, world-famous sights and record-breaking railways and cableways, Central Switzerland is the perfect place to make new memories. And the pioneering, record-breaking modes of transport are something you definitely won’t forget in a hurry. Steeper, higher, more dramatic – yes, in Central Switzerland the highlights begin with your journey to the summit. The Tell-Pass includes trips on:

Rigi – Europe’s first mountain railway
Located in the heart of Central Switzerland, between Lake Lucerne and Lake Zug, Mount Rigi is easily accessible from every direction. Europe's first mountain railroad takes you up into the heart of the imposing mountain world. Get out and enjoy - it's easy.

Pilatus – the steepest cogwheel railway in the world
Mount Pilatus rises just outside the city of Lucerne. The steepest cogwheel railroad in the world runs from Alpnachstad to Pilatus Kulm at 2,132 meters above sea level. Even the journey by boat will put you in a vacation mood. Be enchanted by the magnificent panoramic view.

Titlis – the world’s first revolving aerial cableway
The summit of the Titlis lies at 3,020 meters above sea level - high enough for there to be snow even in summer. From Engelberg, take the Titlis Xpress to the Stand station. The first revolving Titlis Rotair gondola lift then takes you up to the summit at 3,020 meters above sea level. All-round views guaranteed!

Stanserhorn – the first open-top aerial cableway
The journey up the almost 1,900-metre-high excursion mountain begins with the vintage funicular dating back to 1893. From the middle station, the world's only aerial cableway with an open upper deck takes you to the summit. There you will be treated to culinary delights in the revolving restaurant. Marmots, the Stanserhorn rangers and the summit circular trail await you.

Stoos – the steepest funicular railway in the world
The car-free mountain village of Stoos is a particularly good place to relax. The world's steepest funicular railroad from Schwyz-Schlattli takes you to the village of Stoos. The ultimate summit experience can be found on the Fronalpstock. In summer Stoos is known for its excellent walking and hiking and for the richness of its Alpine flora and fauna.

Brienz Rothorn – Switzerland’s only steam-powered cogwheel railway
Full steam ahead to the highest point in Lucerne. It is the only steam cogwheel railroad with steam locomotives from three generations and daily steam operation throughout the summer season. The steam trains overcome a height difference of 1678 meters and open up a breathtaking panoramic view.

Lake Lucerne – large fleet of paddle steamers
The boat trip with five historic paddle steamers and 15 elegant saloon motorboats is one of the highlights of the region. Cruise from Lucerne to Flüelen, Küssnacht or Alpnachstad with the witnesses of the Art Nouveau era through an impressive natural backdrop. The delicacies from the galley double the pleasure of the cruise.

Hammetschwand (Bürgenstock) – the highest outdoor lift in Europe
The cliff path leads past impressive rocky outcrops and under trees, offering incredible views of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains, and leads to the valley station of the Hammetschwand lift. Situated at 1132 m, the lift is the highest outdoor lift in Europe.
